On Friday, October 2, Brad Paisley brought his Crushin’ It Tour to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater in Tampa. This tour has been in support of his ninth studio album, Moonshine in the Trunk. The show set-up was comprised of a two-level main stage, a catwalk that extended further into the crowd connecting to a half circle section of stage, a smaller raised stage in the middle of the crowd, a 60 foot television screen, and a fully functioning bar that sat on one side of the main stage. The light up bar, complete with a counter top and working taps, provided and excellent viewing spot for a portion of the concert for radio station contest winners and other special guests.

Luckily, the rain that has become a part of the every day norm for the last several months held off for the show. Mickey Guyton kicked off the night, followed by Justin Moore before Brad Paisley hit the stage around 9:05. I was able to cover the second and third song for each set from within the crowd to the right of the stage. Brad Paisley came out on stage with his million-dollar smile, playing one of his several guitars. In just the first few songs, I believe he changed guitars about four times. His set began with “River Bank”, “Water”, and then “Moonshine In The Trunk”. Unfortunately that’s when it was time for me to head out of the theater, however, as we were walking out I did get to enjoy hearing him perform “Celebrity”, which just so happens to be one of my favorite songs by him.
