Upcoming Tour: Katchafire in New Zealand
New Zealand’s reggae favourites KATCHAFIRE have shared a massive year of gigs with fans in the US, Canada and Australia. They performed 49 shows in the US and Canada earlier this year, then took their ‘Burn it Down’ tour to Australia for a further 22 gigs during October and November. Now the legendary Roots Rockers are back home and will perform a range of shows in select locations around the North Island for their beloved local fans.
‘Hailing from the mighty H-Town (Hamilton), Aoteoroa (New Zealand), KATCHAFIRE, have become a global roots reggae phenomenon. The all Maori Reggae band, bring their pure classic sound to music lovers worldwide, delivering one of the most authentic Reggae shows around today.’
Supporting ‘The Fire’ on their NZ tour will be Aaradhna, Sons of Zion and Kora, all homegrown New Zealanders. The tour kicks off and finishes in Mangawhai, where I will be lucky enough to catch them on the last night of their tour.
So if you’re in the one of the North Island neighbourhoods, make sure you get along and check out this highly acclaimed, authentic Kiwi Reggae band with the great big sound. It will be a guaranteed great night.
