Announces New Video For “Reasuring Pinches”
Taken From Her Upcoming Album OTHER
Album released June 16, 2017 via Cooking Vinyl
** Available for Press on June 1st in NYC **
Prior to the release of her highly-anticipated new album OTHER on June 16, 2017 via Cooking Vinyl, pop legend ALISON MOYET has unveiled a video for the recent single “Reassuring Pinches”, directed by Steve Gullick, which you can watch here.
The video’s industrial setting, noir mood and dark red hues fit perfectly with the dark Germanic arpeggios of “Reassuring Pinches”. The track nods to synth pop, but also expands and updates that sound into something resolutely modern, unique and powerful, with Moyet’s majestic voice soaring atop.
The new album bursts with clarity, vitality and freshness, finding Alison at the top of her game – making exactly the adventurous music she wants to at this moment in time, with her voice and songwriting both intense, poetic and thought provoking.
Other was again catalyzed by Alison’s fruitful partnership with producer and song writing collaborator Guy Sigsworth, who (as well as having worked with Björk, Goldie and Madonna) also co-created her last album the minutes, which debuted at # 5 in the national UK charts and won international critical acclaim.
Following the release of Other, Alison will embark on a worldwide headline tour, with U.S. dates kicking off on September 11th in Washington, DC and moving westward to Los Angeles on September 27th.

I grew up in a household full of rock music, studied journalism in college, and then became a scientist.Although my science career has served me well, music has always played a major role in my life. I grew up reading "Creem" magazine; I play several musical instruments as a "hobby";and it seems a camera has always been in my hand. Now, I am combining what I love the most--music and photography--serving as editor of Rock At Night. My motto: life is short...no regrets. Chyrisse
