Red Hat Amphitheater – Raleigh, North Carolina-July 18, 2017–Clutch
I love seeing Clutch live, they are so full of energy and pack a heck of a punch. I’m back to my favorite venue in town, the Red Hat Amphitheater. Great staff, plenty of pit space, awesome sound and large enough to pack a diverse crowd.
Neil Fallon hit the stage and didn’t waste a second, turning on the heat for a crowd already baking on the North Carolina oppressive heat, I did look around, but nobody was complaining, we all wanted our full dose of Clutch, no watering down our Rock ’n Roll smoothie, we just wanted some extra metal, stoner rock, blues, southern rock and whatever the band had, to be thrown at us… and they did just that.
Clutch is one of the bands that are in Raleigh pretty consistently, and we have some extra love in store for them. The fans were on fire and neither the heat nor the humidity slowed them down either. It was a great symbiotic display of love between artists and fans, bound through Rock ’n Roll.
