The 2015 Gasparilla Festival will be held at the Curtis Hixon Riverfront Park and Kiley Gardens Park, Tampa, Florida on Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8th. The festival was founded in 2011 and I have to say, the line-up this year is fantastic. Whoever was in charge of lining up these bands deserves major kudos. There is a superb mix of rock, alt-rock, blues, folk-rock, funk, ska….you name it. It’s here.
The bands will be playing on several stages within the park and there will be plenty of area vendors serving up food from local restaurants.
The festival’s mission is to support and promote music education and provide scholarships to music students. The festival boasts sustainable practices regarding waste management and transportation, encouraging the use of bicycle ridership and trolley cars.
