I knew nothing of JettBlack until they literally exploded onto the stage on Saturday at the Underworld Club in Camden, London.
Once the support bands had successfully built up the crowd and left the stage, I could sense my personal space being invaded by the dedicated, hardcore JB fans, moving closer to the stage and claiming their ‘hair flinging’ positions! All of a sudden the scene was set, lightning and thunder… anticipation built and onstage stormed the four lads from High Wycombe, Matt, Jon, Tom and Will aka JettBlack, the crowd go mental, I knew I was in for a good night, albeit a squashed one!
Belting out tunes from their latest album Disguises, including the headlining track EXPLODE in the typical classic rock style, high energy with perfection, acoustically brilliant and visually stunning. Each track prompted the crowd to equally hammer out the lyrics and head-bang their roots where possible, arms were raised and sweat build-up was part of the package!
JB were formed in 2000 and have had several album releases, their influences lie in eighties and early nineties rock and metal with a fresh lease of life with well-crafted songs.
A fantastic rock band that oozed passion and expression on the stage, well worth a watch and a listen, these four lads truly deserve the success that no doubt lays ahead of them! Watch out, Jettblack are about to EXPLODE!
