Flogging Molly at Jannus Live, St. Petersburg, Florida–May 6, 2015
Last night at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, Florida was the place to be. The evening temp was about right and the kilt-wearing, beer-drinking crowd was revved up to see Flogging Molly. I had seen them before at The Ritz in Ybor City and was totally impressed. Last night, was no exception. The open-air venue was perfect, they were totally energized, and the crowd went wild! There was a lot of body-surfing, fist-pumping, arms wailing, and sing-a-alongs as the crowd of loyal followers sang or mouthed along to “Drunken Lullabies” and “Saints & Sinners.” And who could not love “Revolution”?
Flogging Molly is the perfect party band and a must-see for all Celtic or punk rock lovers.
**Support was by a punk band called The Attack from Orlando, Florida. They complemented Flogging Molly well and I would really like to see them again. Good music and stage presence! See photos of them here:
