Venue: London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London–June 9, 2015
Edinburgh five-piece We Were Promised Jetpacks finished their three-night stand supporting Death Cab For Cutie at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, in great form. Their swirling guitar anthems and powerhouse vocals certainly got the packed venue warmed up, and the appreciation came not only from their own fans, but also from those who came early to get a good position for the headliners.
Compared to openers We Were Promised Jetpacks, Death Cab For Cutie are seasoned road warriors who have amassed a huge international following. Their ability to fill huge venues was evidenced by three sold-out nights at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire. The 24-song set was a mixture of tunes from their new album, along with familiar ones from their long career, that proved to be massive crowd pleasers. (Set List)
