If you think of Cheyenne, Wyoming as the last place you’d find a hard rock band, think again. The band First Decree formed in 2012 with three brothers and a family friend that have the drive and determination to rock their way to the top. According to the band’s bio, it’s their desire to “become one of the biggest modern rock bands and a household name in the rock community.” Their “ultimate goal is to have their music reach as many people as possible around the world and for their music to inspire and encourage listeners.” With a growing fan base and a hard hitting, energetic stage presence, these guys are certainly off to a good start.
The band has toured extensively, playing over 200 shows in the last two years and they have been able to share the stage with bands such as Avatar, Sevendust, Thousand Foot Krutch, The Deftones, and Saliva, to name a few. Currently, First Decree is on tour with Adakain and Trapt for Trapt’s Life In Your Own Hands tour . Last week, the tour made a stop at the House of Blues in Orlando and they had a solid performance. Their hard-driving tunes presented some great melodies and a powerful vocal performance, which drew an enthusiastic response from the crowd. First Decree is definitely a band worth checking out if you have the opportunity.
