Our Last Night

Friday night I arrived at Backbooth on a mission to document the band Our Last Night as my first photo assignment for Rock at Night.  I wasn’t quite sure what to expect since I was not familiar with the band, but my interest was peaked when I realized it was a completely sold out show, lined from door to sidewalk with music hungry fans.  The venue was packed shoulder to shoulder with barely enough room to shoot. It was exhilarating!

The crowd, peppered with x’s on their hands, took in every note, every word, and dished it back out to the stage with enough energy to light up Downtown Orlando.  Their most notable response was the crowd surfing and stage diving and just all around frenzy. Our Last Night got on stage and took control of the show; they did not disappoint.

From beginning to end I was very impressed.  Trevor Wentworth, the band’s vocalist, got up close and personal with his fans, maintaining eye contact with them as they sang his songs. They were totally immersed in the show and completely rocked the stage with a down to earth, humble, grateful presence. To top it all off, their musicianship was on point, never missing a beat.

Our Last Night is a band not to miss—and I look forward to seeing them again on their next stop in Florida.
