Some people say Beans & Fatback is the best kept rhythm-and-soul secret of The Netherlands. Although, the grainy music of this high energy band is used in about 30 commercials and TV series, mostly in the USA. Recently Apple chose a song for the iPhone 6s commercial, and Coen Brothers for a trailer for ‘Hail Cesar!’. At this moment Beans & Fatback is doing a club tour through The Netherlands. RAN caught the band at Vera Club Groningen.
Beans & Fatback is: Onno Smit (guitar, vocals), Paul Willemsen (guitar, vocals), Jet Stevens (bass), Toon Oomen (drums, percussion), Cody Vogel (drums, percussion), Gerhardt (percussion, vocals), Jeroen Tenty (Hammond, vocals).
