It seems that Rock at Night was at the right place and the right time again the long awaited comeback of UK based-band Natives’s. It has been almost two years since their last live performance.  On August 17th, Natives kicked off their tour as support for MOTHXR, which will begin in Manchester on September 3rd and will end in Brighton on September 10th.

It looks like the band was up and fit for the new challenge, presenting a very lively performance down at Cargo – Shoreditch – London’s hipster quarter.

RAN has been a supporter of Natives—and I knew we were destined to see a good show. I was there early in the evening and watched how detailed everything was arranged on the stage, giving it a happy, festive feel, including the little scarves on mic stands. The stage décor gave me the impression they had just come back from a happy holiday from the sunny Africa—and wanted to share with the audience their experience.

The audience was able to listen “live” for the first time new songs – including the African influenced new single ‘Chasing Lions’. In two years it reached #4 on Blog-Aggregator Hype Machine’s Twitter chart.

My fav song of the evening was ‘Stop The Rain’ which really shook up the place with explosive energy.

RAN agrees with the post on their Twitter page: “..a new live era for us has begun!” So let be it, Natives. The performance at Shoreditch proved this to be true!
