25th March 2017 – Berries at Proud Camden by Camden Rocks Presents

Berries is an all female up and coming alt/rock band who needs more attention than you would think! Their recently released debut EP Those Funny Things was immediately picked up by BBC London, resulting in a featured artist spot. The band was also included in Fendser’s Top 10 favourite new acts, which is a great endorsement for start but there is much more to tell than that.

The trio played at Proud Camden, organized by Camden Rocks Festival, a familiar name for those who are regularly like to attend quality gig nights around London’s underground live music scene.

These girls totally dominate the stage once gaining a foothold there. Their energetic style comes down quickly as starting to play. Seeing their always smily faces, when never taking themselves too seriously while riffing the stage apart can be pretty contagious, also the audience definitely buys that! The sounding helps remembering ’80s – ’00s rock alternative movements which involves melancholic catchy melodies balanced by riot girly fierce improvisations. This right balance of hot and humble on – and off stage – attracts the audience for a long time to come.
