RavenEye plays an intimate (but majorly rocking) set at the Cat’s Cradle

My editor keeps asking me to cover bands I don’t know… I love her for that.  Yes, this guy is a Metal Head that has missed on a lot of great bands for being too focused on 80’s and 90’s Metal–but not anymore. This time it was RavenEye that blew my mind away.

RavenEye is an English band consisted of multiple Award Winner blues guitarist Oli Brown on vocals, Australian bassist Aaron Spiers and drummer Adam Breeze, and they are a heck’ of a Power Trio.

If you never heard of the Cat’s Cradle, I’ll tell you why this is a legendary venue. None less than Nirvana, Slayer, Public Enemy, John Mayer, Joan Baez, and Iggy Pop have performed here, which might have had something to do with what happened tonight.

Have you ever been on a show with thousands of people, where the band poured their hearts out, putting out a performance that would make all the big names jealous? Yeah, me too. This, however, was the first time I saw band perform as such but at a small venue– and with a lot less people watching. Whoever showed up tonight was dumbfounded by the performance of RavenEye. I was truly impressed with the energy the band threw at the fans. Honestly, they performed like the band was in front of a major crowd at Lollapalooza!

Have you been at a concert fighting and screaming for a split second of eye contact or to be able to touch the artist? Yeah, me too. Tonight we had  high fives galore, talks, jokes, and private moments with a band that have shared the stage with Black Sabbath, Slayer, Megadeth, Kiss, Joe Satriani, Slash, Deep Purple and the list goes on. RavenEye plays Garage Rock for the masses, they are no joke people!!!

This is one evening and one show I will remember for a long time!

Don’t miss the chance to catch up with RavenEye on this side of the pond, while they tour the US.
