Today, Macklemore unveils the video for Marmalade featuring Lil Yachty. The Jason Koenig-directed video was shot in Washington and follows Mini Macklemore and Lil Lil Yachty on their Ferris Bueller-style adventure. The video features brief cameos from the artists themselves, as well as running back legend Marshawn Lynch.
Marmalade was recorded at Macklemore’s home studio in Seattle last Fall. It was co-produced by Joshua “Budo” Karp and Tyler “Damn Dude” Dopps, with additional production from Macklemore.
Marmalade follows the continuing success of current single Glorious featuring Skylar Grey. The viral video for “Glorious” starring Macklemore’s 100 year old grandmother has over 25 million views in less than a month. “Glorious” is currently #7 on the ARIA singles chart and #9 on the iTunes singles chart.
I grew up in a household full of rock music, studied journalism in college, and then became a scientist.Although my science career has served me well, music has always played a major role in my life. I grew up reading "Creem" magazine; I play several musical instruments as a "hobby";and it seems a camera has always been in my hand. Now, I am combining what I love the most--music and photography--serving as editor of Rock At Night. I travel between the US and UK seeking my dream! My motto: life is short...no regrets. Chyrisse
