Reggae Rise Up 2018 in St. Petersburg heats up with a great line-up

By Anita Stewart, Rock At Night Tampa

Rock at Night plans on covering Reggae Rise Up 2018 in St. Petersburg’s Vinoy Park for the first time on March 16-18, 2018. This is one of the biggest and best reggae line-ups you will see at any festival anywhere. This is RRUF’s fourth year in town and will be a full length three day event; each day scheduled from the early afternoon and extending to late evening. There has been a lot of hype surrounding this much larger event.

With announcements beginning early in November 2017, the following artists complete the lineup: Rebelution, Nahko and Medicine for the PeopleTribal Seeds, Jesse Royal, Mike LoveRDGLDGRN, Nattali RizeNew Kingston, Katastro, Iya TerraTropidelic, Jungle Man Sam, Summer SurvivorsDamian “Jr. Gong” MarleyEasy Star All Stars, Matisyahu, J Boog, SOJACollie Buddz, The Expendables, Raging Fyah, Ozomatli, SiderealResinated, Zander, Noneed, Badda Skat and Kash’d Out.

March seems to be a great month for music in the Tampa Bay area with organizers and festival goers taking advantage of the comfortable cooler weather and sunny skies. The Gasparilla Music Festival happens the week before at Curtis Hixon Park and Rock at Night will be there, too! If you love Reggae and socially conscious music with a diverse lineup and exceptional international artists, don’t miss this!
