Black Country Communion, the Anglo-American rock group comprising vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Trapeze), drummer Jason Bonham (Led Zeppelin, Foreigner), Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Alice Cooper, Billy Idol) and blues-rock guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa, reveal their brand new video for ‘The Cove’, taken form their long awaited and highly anticipated fourth album, ‘BCCIV’, released via Mascot Records in September 2017.
The song represents a subject very close to the heart of Glenn Hughes as he explains. “Joe captured the mood brilliantly on this song. I’m still shaking my head in astonishment. I wanted to write a song about my love for dolphins. Each year thousands of these beautiful Souls are murdered by Hunters in the coastal town of Taiji Japan. They are drove into the Killing Cove and brutally slaughtered. I have been working with Ric O’Barry from the Dolphin Project for four years, and told him I had written a song about this senseless & horrific scenario for BCCIV, that has been happening for decades.”
I grew up in a household full of rock music, studied journalism in college, and then became a scientist.Although my science career has served me well, music has always played a major role in my life. I grew up reading "Creem" magazine; I play several musical instruments as a "hobby";and it seems a camera has always been in my hand. Now, I am combining what I love the most--music and photography--serving as editor of Rock At Night. I travel between the US and UK seeking my dream! My motto: life is short...no regrets. Chyrisse
