Never saw a TYLER BRYANT & THE SHAKEDOWN headline show a day before they opened for bands like GUNS N’ ROSES in a big stadium. I had seen them a few times already but this pre-party at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg was really special to me. And this tour was their first time in Scandinavia.
First of all I met Magnus Ax, owner of STICKY FINGERS great venue, some of GUNS N’ ROSES crew in the audience (Guitarist RICHARD FORTUS showed up as well!!) and we were all there for the same reason!! We all love these guys and the great vibes they spread, it’s as simple as that!! Tyler was quite excited announcing the next day show with GUNS N’ ROSES, but also to thank the audience for keeping Rock N’ Roll alive. “House on Fire”set the tone. This would definitely be a high-energy show. The band has been building a solid fanbase since 2013, when releasing their first album. Everyone was singing along all through the concert, TYLER was as charismatic as ever, and the chemistry between the musicians was obvious. They added “You wreck me” to their set, a tribute to TOM PETTY, “That’s all right mama”, with GRAHAM WHITFORD awesome guitar solo.
A bluesy moment with Downtown tonight and CALEB CROSBY came on the stage ledge with amazing solos on “ Ramblin’Bones” and “Lipstick Wonder Woman”.
What a great live band! Most of the Sticky Fingers audience was present at Ullevi Stadium the next day for GUNS N’ ROSES with Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown opening act. Sad I couldn’t attend this huge event that welcomed more than 64000 people!
After a last show in Iceland, they head back to US where they’ll join CLUTCH on their Fall BookOfBadDecisions tour together with SEVENDUST!
