Christina Aguilera

Back from a decade long hiatus from touring, Pop Diva Christine Aguilera returned to the stage with her incredible vocals and proceeded to blow away the sold out arena . As Xtina, said to her fans, “It feels so good to be back here where I belong”, the appreciative crowd were thrilled with her return performance.

Fans starting getting anxious with the show starting 45 minutes late but once the huge graphic clock on the stage screen started counting down the last five minutes, the crowd were on their feet with anticipation.

Christina began the night in a beautiful red flamingo style dress, one of many costumes she would adorn throughout the evening that also included a sequin gown, a Japanese outfit, and oversized jackets. With her special flair for the dramatic, Christina made grand entrances after song breaks, sometimes being escorted down a huge staircase. At one point returning in a white gown, along with her dancers, to a long table reminiscent of The last Supper complete with chalice.

Her well known James Brown cover of “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World”, along with mega hits “Genie in a Bottle”, “What A Girl Wants” were intertwined with many of the songs from her latest album. “Liberation”. “Maria”, “Sick of Sittin “, and “Deserve” proved she is still a relevant artist even after taking time to have a family.

The vocal prowess Christina is best known for was on full display all night, hitting a high point with “Lady Marmalade”. She performed “Beautiful” late in the set, inviting everyone in attendance to sing along.
During her 2 song encore, Christina’s friend “Bang” came romping out to the stage waving brightly colored silk flags as this great night came to a close.

Nowhere in today’s Pop music culture is there a more worthy Diva than Christina Aguilera, and The “Liberation” tour brings her back to us after too long of an absence.
