The Ambassador of Latin music and widely considered one of the most influential performing tropical salsa artist of our time, Marc Anthony performed for a sold out audience Saturday night. Marc showed off his salsa moves, flashing his million dollar smile at the ladies, while singing hits “Aguanile” , “Valió la pena” and “Y huba alguien”  He engaged the crowd from the start, encouraging them get up and sing with him.

At one point a woman in the audience showed Anthony a picture of himself kissing her at a previous concert many years ago. Marc looked surprised, apologetically remarking “I don’t remember making out with you”! He then autographed picture and returned it to the appreciative fan.

A multi Grammy winner, Marc also holds the Guinness World Record for best-selling tropical salsa artist and the most number-one albums on the Billboard Tropical Albums year-end charts. He has also established a highly credible acting career staring opposite Selma Hayek in the Showtime original film, In the Time of the Butterflies and with Denzel Washington and Christopher Walken in Tony Scott’s Man On Fire (2004). On Broadway, he starred opposite Rubén Blades and Ednita Nazario in Paul Simon’s The Capeman (1998).

A dedicated football fan, Marc Anthony (along with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez ) are also minority owners of the Miami Dolphins.

Saturday night, Marc really showcased his terrific 15 piece band with “Flor pálida”, and “Vivir mi vida”, but it was a lively “Mi gente” that brought everyone to their feet, dancing along to the beat. While leaving the audience wanting more is a good thing, without an opener, on this night his set felt a little short. While Marc Anthony’s “Legacy” tour continues, grab a ticket and get your Salsa on!
