GASPARILLA MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2019 LINEUP
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Toro Y Moi among new artists
The Gasparilla Music Festival presented by Cigar City Brewing released its full lineup of bands who will be performing at its 2019 festival held March 9-10 in downtown Tampa. The eighth annual festival will feature over 40 bands across 5 stages along Tampa’s waterfront. Newly announced bands join the previously announced initial lineup which included The Avett Brothers, Gary Clark Jr., Lukas Nelson & the Promise of the Real, The Pharcyde and others.
The lineup additions include Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (Los Angeles, CA), Toro y Moi (Columbia, SC) , Oddissee & Good Compny (Washington, DC) , White Denim (Austin, TX) , The Beths (Auckland, NZ) , Sleepwalkers (Richmond, VA), Ruen Brothers (Scunthorpe, England), and Michigan Rattlers (Petoskey, MI).
The lineup also includes some of Florida’s top up and coming artists including Hannah Harber & The Lionhearts, J’Nelle, Savants of Soul, Gat$, Flipturn, Glove, Tribal Style, Danny & Alex, Joshua Reilly, Venus Bleu, Fever Beam, Fr33dback (Live Band), Jordan Esker & the 100%, Garden Club, and The Hails.

GMF is produced by the Gasparilla Music Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2011. In addition to the music festival held annually during the 2nd weekend of March, the foundation works year round to support music education through its Recycled Tunes program and to promote local musicians through its GMF Productions program. I grew up in a household full of rock music, studied journalism in college, and then became a scientist.Although my science career has served me well, music has always played a major role in my life. I grew up reading "Creem" magazine; I play several musical instruments as a "hobby";and it seems a camera has always been in my hand.
