Venue: Foxwoods Grand Theater,Mashantucket, Connecticut-Gabriela Bee Supporting Walk Over The Earth – Friday May 31, 2019
I’ve been to many concerts over the years and seen some strange things. Floating pigs, and a ten foot inflatable rabbit, just to mention a few. However, Friday night was a first for me. Twelve-year-old, Gabriela “Miss Monkey” Bee opened for Walk Over The Earth Friday night and brought with her a dancing gorilla!
Gabriela (with appearances by her dancing gorilla), entertained the crowd at Foxwoods, performing songs that had something for fans of all ages. Starting with “The Final Countdown” (Europe cover), and Panic! At the Disco’s, “High Hopes”, Gabriela’s energy and enthusiasm had the audience on their feet. The all age crowd enjoyed the Grace VanderWall cover “Beautiful Thing” as well as “Something More” and “Feeling Alright.
Dancing and jumping around, the youthful Gabriel was joined by two musicians onstage, one playing guitar, the other playing drums and occasional kazoo.
With Gabriela’s confidence and stage presence, performing songs such as “Tequila” (The Champs) and Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” (Beatles)it is easy to forget she is only twelve years old.
However, with her positive energy and spunk, Gabriela kept her younger fans engaged throughout the show. Gabriela Bee and her Dancing Gorilla will continue to support Walk Over the Earth 2019 World tour through the summer.
