Love Fame Tragedy will debut their EP I Don’t Want To Play The Victim, But I’m Really Good At It, September 27th via Good Soldier Songs / AWAL Recordings. The EP is now available for pre-order HERE. The band has unveiled the introspective new video for the third track of their EP titled “Brand New Brain”, which was directed by Taylor Cunningham. The video follows the morning after a heavy night out, waking up in a car in the middle of nowhere.
Named after a seminal Pablo Picasso exhibition at the Tate Modern, Love Fame Tragedy is the debut solo project from Matthew “Murph” Murphy, singer and guitarist for platinum-selling indie-pop heroes The Wombats. I Don’t Want To Play The Victim, But I’m Really Good At It sees Murph joined in the studio by Pixies guitarist Joey Santiago, alt-J’s Gus Unger-Hamilton, Soundgarden drummer Matt Chamberlain, model and singer Maddi-Jean Waterhouse and singer-songwriter Lauren Aquilina. Love Fame Tragedy will take to the stage for the first time for intimate shows in the UK before touring across the US and Australia throughout September and October. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
