The mighty Everest just got bigger:

In Deed at The Cavern

In Deed have released an extended version of their acclaimed ‘Everest’ album; now available for the first time on CD and with three additional tracks on Burbank California based Big Stir Records. Residing a mere 5469 miles from the Uppsala, the home town of the Swedish jangle-power-poppers, the US label are also hosting a series of live performances for the Nordic invaders.

The new pieces take position at 1, 7 and 13 in the extended album sequence and bring the total ‘Everest’ song tally up to 14. Appropriately the new track listing begins with ‘Another Start’, instantly bouncing with energy zinging along with soaring vocals, all too soon dissolving into the unexpected and pleasing harpsichord style keyboard outro.

In Deed

‘Fantastic’ is built around the harmonies of Linda Karlsberg & the very openly Beatle inspired Richard Ohrn. The guitar sound has a Rubber Soul feel to it which is complimented by the additional presence of an Abbey Road era George Harrison style lead break in there too.

‘I’m Alright (When I’m with You)’ opens with acoustic guitar in a light and melodic introduction that becomes quickly caught up in a sense of bright and vigorous excitement. Optimistic, irresistible and jangling with fuzz in its veins. Which sums up In Deed quite nicely.

This is not a major label trawling through rough out-takes; it is three specially (and newly) recorded songs that enhance and add to the already impressive album as a whole. To celebrate the launch of the extended album In Deed are in California in September and will be making radio appearances and playing some live dates in the US supported by The Armoires and an array of other locally based Big Stir Records artists.
