Venue: Greenwich Odeum, Rhode Island-November 23, 2019–Adam Ezra Group and Lisa Bouchelle

Lisa Bouchelle

Opening for the Adam Ezra Group was the talented singer-songwriter Lisa Bouchelle. Hailing from Trenton, New Jersey, Lisa has also created and become the host of the TV show, Rock Star Kitchen, which features a different rock star guest each week cooking their favorite dish and singing some of their hit songs with Lisa. Lisa began the night off right with “Heaven On Credit”, a great song with a catchy hook. Following up with “Whole Lotta Highway” from the self titled album, and a haunting cover of Gordon Lightfoot’s “If You Could Read My Mind”, that really showcased her range. “Along For The Ride”, and “I Believe” were well received as was “Only The Toquilla Talkin’, a duet recorded with The Blues Traveller’s John Popper that has garnered over one million streams on Spotify. Bouchelle is a fast rising star with a resume that reads like a who’s who of A listers. Averaging over two hundred shows a year, she has already performed with the likes of Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, and The Blues Travelers.

The multi-talented Adam Ezra Group delivered a one of a kind performance to an engaged crowd at the Odeum.  Boston’s Adam Ezra was in great form entertaining the audience with his unique sense of humor in between songs that showcased his flawless vocals.
Throughout the show, Ezra (vocals, guitar, harmonica, and banjo), Corinna Smith (vocals, fiddle), Alex Martin (drums), and Poche Ponce, (bass) performed with boundless energy, from the funky “Life Of A Thief”, to “The Toast”, an anthem where the entire audience “raises their glass” at Adams prompting.

Mixing things up, AEG performed a drum driven “California” with Corinna Smith contributing her sweet voice. The journey an Adam Ezra Group concert takes the crowd an is an incredible ride.

On the quieter side, the band performed A cappella in perfect harmony followed by Ezra’s soothing solo blend of Cindy Lauper’s “Time After Time” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Thunder Road”, for which he received a standing ovation. On the more wild side is the “R” rated “The Devil Came Up To Boston”, a hilarious parody of Charlie Daniel’s “The Devil Came Down From Georgia”, full of local flavor.and enough F bombs to make any “Southie” proud.Rounding out the journey, “Switching To Whisky”, a new song with a country flare full of desperation and regret, is sure to be a standout hit.

For a great night by extremely talented, honest hardworking professional, be sure to add tickets to a Lisa Bouchelle and The Adam Ezra Group show to your holiday shopping list!
