As part of the City of Clearwater’s and Ruth Eckerd Hall “On the Road” the Annual Miracle on Cleveland Street was held Saturday December 7th and featured a free concert by 80s favorite The Romantics.  Cleveland Street was converted into a Winter Wonderland with an ice skating rink, lots of carnival food, and a stage set up for the concert.  Areas near the stage were partitioned for VIP patrons, who were provided folding chairs, beverages, and Meet & Greet opportunities.

Rich Cole of The Romantics

The Romantics performed hits such as “What I Like About You”, “Talking In Your Sleep”, and even a personal favorite, “One In a Million”, as well as covers, like The Animals “We’ve Got to Get Out of This Place”.  A few women danced in the VIP area as the band played “Stone Pony” and “Rock You Up.” The consummate professionals, The Romantics put on a great show for all that attended.

The Romantics—Wally Palmar (lead vocals/guitar), Brad Elvis (drums/vocals), Mike Skill (guitar/vocals), Rich Cole (bass/vocals). All are original members except Elvis, who joined in 2004.
