The new Gwazi, aka Iron Gwazi, may not be finished yet, but that didn’t stop Collective Soul from rocking the area know as Gwazi Park.
Based in Atlanta, Collective Soul consists of lead vocalist Ed Roland, rhythm guitarist Dean Roland, bassist Will Turpin, drummer Johnny Rabb and lead guitarist Jesse Triplett. Formed in 1992, The band hit it big in 1993 when the song “Shine” (which of course they played to gratifying audience response) became an underground radio sensation. Throughout a somewhat tumultuous career, including disputed circumstances with former bandmates and legal battles with ex-managers (rumored, they have a gag order), the Roland brothers and Will Turpin have held things together and produced ten studio albums, one live album, one compilation album, one extended play, thirty-nine singles and twenty-three music videos – nearly all songs penned by Ed Roland.
