New Release: Elemental Values
Released: December 18, 2020
This Sacramento band is up and coming and already remarkable due to Zach Waters’ crazy-good and seasoned guitar playing at only 21 years of age–but after all, he started playing the guitar eleven years ago and played in his first professional band at the age of 16. The band has just produced and released their EP “Elemental Values.” Click that hyperlink to hear the whole thing! A mix of bluesy rock and some acoustic offerings, this writer loves every cut!
Track List:
1. Get That Funky–yes, funky blues/rock and special effects on the guitar. Will get your feet tapping!
2. I Say Fine–bossa nova rhythms and cool acoustic Spanish style guitar. Nice hooks.
3. Do it For You–slow acoustic love song, heartfelt lyrics, written for someone he loved/loves in a huge way.
4. Misery Blues–acoustic guitar, reminiscent of old time, Southern Blues with the down and out lyrics.
5. Covered Up–more Top 40, slow groove, electric guitar ballad, a song about love gone wrong.
At first listen, his musical prowess and songwriting is a huge nod to the rock and blues guitar greats of the past but yet he brings to the forefront a style all his own! When I listened, I was reminded of the guitar geniuses like Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) and many more.
“A lot of people out there claim to be rock n roll, but rock n roll is so much more than a couple hours of music on a Friday night. Rock’n and Roll’n is a lifestyle, an energy that cannot be denied. Rock n Roll is about loud guitars, banging drums, stomping bass, and coming together to fight the challenges that life throws at us. So let’s all come together, and let the music take us far away” – ZWB.
The band is: Zach playing lead and doing vocals, Steve Pires on drums and Grayson Roberts on bass and vocals. The Zach Waters Band has shared the stage with notable artists such as: Dokken, Pat Travers, Albert Cummings, LA Guns, Tommy Castro and many more! Zach is an endorsed artist for Tantris Picks and Thimble Guitar Slides.
The readers of SN&R Magazine voted the band as the best Blues/Rock act in the Sacramento region in 2018 and the following year the band was nominated for three Sacramento Music Awards (Blues, Teen Artist, Live Performer). Most recently Last year, The Zach Waters Band was nominated for another Sacramento Music Award for Rock Artist of the Year. The band has a lot of irons in the fire and more music coming! Heading onward and upward!
