Song: “Time”
Release Date: February 5, 2021
Hailing from Southhampton, UK, the band that is definitely on any music lover’s radar is “The Radar.” Their second single “Time” has been released on YouTube on January 9, 2021 and on all streaming platforms on February 5, 2021. They record in a home built studio–so for very young lads it is quite apparent that they are quite driven and on their way to success in the music business. Their most recent interview about the song and the shooting of the live video is HERE. You can catch the band’s first single “Grey Lights” that was released in 2019 by clicking HERE.
The band is Tyler Collins on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, George Hampton on drums, Ed Garriock is lead guitarist and Wilf Cherrett on bass. The musicians are not yet twenty years old and are inspired by bands such as “The Libertines” and “Easy Life.” So their sound would definitely be indie-rock, indie-pop, a bit of grunge and punk.
This new single reflects the band’s cool blending of these genres and the song expresses their desire to live life to the fullest. Their goal for 2021? To play as many live shows as possible. They are working on that; a quick check on their Facebook page shows that they are staying busy doing one show after another. Ahhhh youth! So yes, this young band has lots of energy and they are going places. Can’t wait to hear more!
