Review: Dispatch’s new single “Pour Into You” – Release date March 25, 2021 -The album Break Our Fall is out on May 14, 2021
Dispatch have released a new single, “Pour Into You” from their upcoming album Break Our Fall. The album title says a lot about the content of the album in general. It’s a personal and global community commentary on many levels.
“Pour Into You” has an upbeat lively rhythm, I love it, but it speaks of pain, loss and death and it also speaks of hope and life and living life whatever the situation. It speaks to the heart as does much of the album.
Fantastic song writing and arranging throughout the album. Bringing love to the fore over and over.
For Chadwick Stokes and Brad Corrigan, this is clearly about their journey in general and through the added difficulties of the moment, mainly the pandemic, but also the political and racial climate as well, takes us through all the stages of growth from denial to acceptance.

Making sense of our often-incomprehensible world has been at the core of Dispatch’s mission since the very start, when Chadwick Stokes and Brad Corrigan were still just students at Middlebury College in Vermont. It seems all we did as teenagers was travel around listening to bands in pubs, clubs, stadiums and festivals, some with over a million peaceful people there. Of course there was also the presence of many strange substances.
I grew up on the South Coast of England and my ancestry is Irish, so there was a lot of music and singing around. My brother Paddy became involved in the music industry as a photographer as did many of my childhood friends. Bands like the Who and the Floyd I saw so many times. Not enough room here to put all the bands I saw over the years but name me a band from the 60’s and early 70’s and chances are I saw them.
Music saved my life. Encouraged by my brother Paddy I started taking photos in the late 70’s and am still taking them today at the tender age of sixty nine.
My daughter is an accomplished musician, playing many instruments and singing. So, perhaps I passed on my passion for music.
You will find me somewhere in Australia, probably Melbourne, at the back side or front of stage in a club, pub or stadium behind a camera for Rock At Night and loving it.
