New Release: “I Can’t Say”
May 15, 2021
This is a pop song that could easily cross over to pop standards, folk, country; it is genre-less and the lyrics are timely for what is happening in the world right now. Vulnerable emotions and hope for a better future are the guiding forces throughout this superbly-crafted tune. LJR is inspired by the following artists: Peter Gabriel, The 1975, Coldplay, Hillsong United, and X Ambassadors.
This single is the first of twelve tracks that will become LJR’s upcoming debut album “When the Sky Began to Fall;” the songs are a collection of poignant reflections on the singer’s last ten years. About the album: “This album is my best work from the past decade, and represents my first real foray into the music world with my original songwriting and as a lead singer.” LJR is crowd-funding the launch of this album through an INDIEGOGO campaign with lots of very cool perks and you can find more information on that right HERE. As of this writing, there are two more weeks left to fund the album. Rock at Night is keeping an eye out for more from this young rising star!
