New Release: Single and Video “The Question” from the upcoming album “Ambedo

Release Date: May 14, 2021

“The Question” by the Ellis Mano Band.

The opening riff on this song reminded me of the band Golden Earring‘s hit “Radar Love,” hard, forceful, and the hook grabs one’s attention. With similar hooks throughout the song, lyrics that you want to sing along to and featuring the wizardry of Austria’s Hammond B3 organ legend Lachy Doley, this song has staying power!

The songs on this upcoming album, including “The Question” were recorded at Edis Mano’s Studio E10 with cool vintage gear and instruments and mixed with a

70’s classic rock sound. All the songs were performed live as they were recorded with overdubs and edits done later while adding in backing vocals and brass instruments. The backing vocals are lush and expressive. Blending the genres of music in a fascinating way, one can hear the elements of Southern Rock, Americana, Blues, some of the British Revolution and Classic Rock genres. The band says they are, “a sort of rock n’ soul, rooted deep down in the blues.

On the experience of recording the album: “Making this music was fascinating, it was really easy to create the music and take it further,” said Chris. “It was a beautiful experience and I hope we can repeat it time and time again.

Rock at Night is waiting for more! This band does some super intelligent songwriting, the lyrics are like poetry with deep insight into emotions and feelings. Review of the upcoming “Ambedo” is HERE.
