New Release: “The Fallout”
Release Date: January 29, 2021
The Almas is a hard rock band from New Munster, Wisconsin that formed in 2016. This band rocks hard, a bit retro but newer and harder sounds; compared quite often to a much dirtier and louder Fleetwood Mac. This band is known for a kick ass, high energy and professional live performance! The Almas released an EP early on and then in 2017, their first full length studio album “Back to Bad” to critical acclaim. The band has relentlessly toured to support their music, played at famous venues such as Whiskey-a-Go-Go and has opened for artists such as: Saliva, Wayland, Shallow Side, Dizzy Reed, Tantric, Max Weinberg, Janet Gardner of Vixen and Jake E. Lee to name just a few.
The Almas released their newest full length album ‘Truth Sells” late in 2020. This latest release, a single and lyric video from that album, “The Fallout” is the closing track and refers to the state of the world right now and to resistance and fighting back. The TV screens refer to the corporate media selling us lies. This band rocks and tells you how they REALLY feel along with their incredible musicianship and very honest vocals on this cut! Yes, some of the lyrics are explicit. Be sure to also check out the “Casual Encounters” video linked below.
The band is Crystal Teigland on lead vocals, Frank Slifka on lead guitar, Josh Sukowski on rhythm guitar, Chris Arndt on bass guitar and Andrew Ehredt on drums. The band is touring now in support of their new album and they have new merch on their website. And the latest exciting news as of this writing: the band is now endorsed by GHS Strings and they have signed a sync licensing deal with SoStereo (from Miami) who will be pitching their music for opportunities in film, TV, commercials and games!
