Review of Single and Video “Feels Like Home”
Release Date: June 10, 2021
Hailing from San Jose, California, this band has an early new wave, punk and pop feel, very late 70’s and early 80’s and with a great beat, their tunes will get the toes tapping and people dancing. Their whole idea was to modernize the music from that very creative time period. Some of the styles they emulate are from bands such as The Cure, The Smiths, New Order, Joy Division and many more from that era. However their music is exciting and creatively unique to them.
After releasing their first EP “Control”and their full length album“Delusions,” Love District’s goal is to further define their special sound with their upcoming releases. The band has had plenty of experience and exposure and has played the Ernie Ball Stage at Vans Warped Tour, worked with Coca-cola and has played various festivals while becoming a regular act with the Bay Area’s music scene.
About this latest single “Feels Like Home,” Rock at Night says: Loved the very first opening lines of the song, reminiscent of The Cure, lots of acoustic guitar, harmonic vocals and backing hooks with the synths. Lyrics about living in an urban environment; is it a dream or is it real? Do you like people around or do you still feel alone? Airy with a driving beat this song is beautiful and we love this era of music here at Rock at Night! Can’t wait to hear more from this band!
