Just Tommy is a diverse singer-songwriter from Tempe, Arizona and he is back with his version of the Pharrell Williams song, “Happy,” that dropped on June 25, 2021. From this artist’s website:
“JUST TOMMY came into existence out of the drive to create music and perform live. Through a fusion of Alternative, Rap, Rock, Punk & Pop, he aims to break the mold of what a traditional solo-artist is. Through his platform, JUST TOMMY is able to tell his story while focusing on his mission of motivating and inspiring through action and art.”
“My name is Tommy, and I make music.”
Just Tommy says, “I didn’t plan on covering “HAPPY”. It just…happened. It all started with a question – “What does the world need right now?” Remembering things like Australia being on fire along with California and Oregon, murder hornets, and more. I believe the world could use some happiness right now. Pharrell’s video happened to be up on my laptop at that moment so I turned it up and said to myself that something like this would make people smile. After that, it was an easy decision to make. For me, this song is a reminder that there’s so much happiness in this world, don’t be afraid to find yours.”
Rock at Night says: “A great cover of this song that is such an uplift for these dark times. The video is full of light colors, dancing, singing and just plain joy! We loved it and now we can’t stop singing it!“
“Happy” was produced by super Producer/Engineer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) at legendary Pearl Sound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eminem, Filter).
