Review: Cyadine’s single “Hatespiration” – Release date December 17, 2021
Up-and-coming Metro Detroit metal group Cyadine sees its latest single hit the street in “Hatespiration.”
The track delivers aggressive guitar work in the spirit of Dimebag with a punchy rhythmic swing that ensures the onslaught never plods.
Matching the music blow for blow are muscular vocals that emit emotional shadings appropriate for the song’s lyrical drama. It’s here that the song explores the dark, resentful energy that can be provoked by naysayers, adversaries, and oppressors.
While many experience the feelings examined in “Hatespiration,” youth can be especially vulnerable to succumbing to destructive reverberations from them. (The recent tragedy at Oxford High School near the band’s hometown is a sobering reminder of what can happen.)
Cyadine’s message is both timely and timeless: You don’t have to let hatred and resentment consume you; you prevail by instead channeling that energy into constructive resolve and self motivation.
“Hatespiration” was produced by producer/engineer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) at Pearl Sound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eminem, Filter).
The band features Aaron Gilbert (vocals), Eddie Knappenberger (guitar), Bennie Knappenberger (drums), Noah Poulston (guitar/vocals), and Shane Uhl (bass).
