New Single Release: “White Crow”
Release Date: November 26, 2021
The award-winning and dynamic 4-piece band, The Howling Tides hail from Staffordshire in the UK and are set to make new marks with their latest release “White Crow.” “After an amazing few months for the band,” they say, “we couldn’t be more excited to unleash ‘White Crow’… Bringing it to life saw us stretching out creatively like never before, and the end result is the most dynamic and captivating ‘Tides release to date. We hope you love it as much as we do.”
The Howling Tides are Rob Baynes on lead vocals and guitar, Hayden Kirk on guitar and backing vocals, Adam Brewell on the bass and backing vocals and Steven ‘Herbie’ Herbert on drums. The band excels with their live performances at such festivals as Steelhouse, Planet Rockstock, Bloodstock and more. This band is more than ready and excited for upcoming live gigs in 2022.
This song has some fierce guitar work reminiscent of the melodic hard rock of the 70’s and 80’s. Powerful riffs along with Rob Baynes’ lead vocals and the overall musicianship round out this song and will have the listener wanting more. Explaining the song’s lyrics, the band says “White Crow” is about someone getting older and dealing with the challenges of life that come with that, while still living to the full and refusing to be held back. The journey of the song captures that defiance and maverick approach. We couldn’t be prouder to get this song out!”
Rock at Night says: “Launching the song off with a powerful riff and hooks, this is some down and dirty rock and roll with the UK styled blues mixed in…it reminded me of some old, early 70’s John Mayall. The break rolled out some more impressive guitar work and be sure to check out the lyrics of this song, too. These guys are enthusiastic artists, keep them on your list of bands to watch!“
