Review: Three Spoke Wheel’s EP Metamorphosis – Release date February 4, 2022
Metamorphosis is a 6 song EP by the grunge band, Three Spoke Wheel. Three Spoke wheel is a 3-piece band from Redford, Michigan. Their sound is heavily influenced by bands such as King Crimson, Radiohead, and Pearl Jam. The band has been together for two years and they have a lot of big things planned for this year!
The First song “Acid Dream” draws you in right away with a progressive rock vibe and deep lyrics “Just waste your time, just wait for signs…” Don’t we all often feel this way? I know I do. One of my personal favorites on this EP is “Faded Flowers”, a song that reminds me of summer nights and a hint of the alternative rock band 311. Another favorite track of mine on this is “Sleeping in the Light”, a song that would definitely get a crowd going and has an arena-rock feel to it. Out of all the songs on Metamorphosis, “The Honest Truth” was their favorite to record. “The song is actually a live take to record the drums, but the parts were tight enough to keep as the recording and the vocals were recorded using a reel-to-reel tape delay” They explained. This EP is a must hear and might possibly be your soundtrack of 2022!
