Live Review: GFM at the Stone Pony, Asbury Park, New Jersey-April 14, 2022
Gold, Frankincense, & Myrrh AKA GFM band from Jacksonville, Florida are taking the world by storm and doing it in a way that just feels right in today’s music scene. Three sisters CJ-guitar, Maggie-bass/keys/vox, and LuLu-drums/vox, have already embarked on some incredible journeys. They started back in 2016 and by 2017 they were already on the road. They were so well received the band set out the following year.
GFM are all about being real and honest with their fans and have only positive messages to bring to the table. They look forward to the interaction with their fans on a very personal level.
They are currently on tour with as direct support for Fozzy and made a stop here in New Jersey at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park. I couldn’t have been happier to see them come through my neck of the woods as I came across them a while ago on social media.
I met up with them prior to show to do a quick photo shoot and right away I noticed how genuine they were. Extremely appreciative and even gave me a nice little GFM pocket notebook and pen as a ‘thank you’.
Their stage performance was amazing and you could see how much fun they were having. The crowd just loved it! They moved all over the stage to keep it interesting and exciting, leaving no doubt these young ladies are the real deal. By the way, their music is really great especially if you are into bands like Motionless in White and In This Moment. I love bands that not only are great musicians and singers but also give us fans a visual and a great live show.
They have already shared the stage with some great bands like Motionless in White, Breaking Benjamin, A Day to Remember, Disturbed and Halestorm. They have played numerous festivals and even a cruise. I would definitely say this band is a ‘must see’ in my book.
