New Single Release: “Baja Bound”
Release Date: April 8, 2022
For a new spin on the classic Americana road trip, check out the latest single by Tunnel Vision–“Baja Bound!” For a song that will get your toes tapping and just perfect for amping up your party, this is a feel good tune! The long-anticipated upcoming album of the same name is scheduled to drop on July 15th, 2022. You can pre-order that right HERE.
The band hails from San Clemente, CA and their music is tinged with that totally relaxed southern California vibe. The band has been heavily influenced by the punk rock, reggae, and ska music of bands like Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, NoFX, Rancid. The band’s current lineup is: Hayden Hanson on guitar and vocals, Jacob Hernandez on bass, Matt Risley on keyboards and Doug Alani on sax. The production for this single and the rest of the album was a collaboration with legendary Grammy winning producer Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Social Distortion, Aquabats, Kelly Clarkson). Produced at Cameron Webb’s Maple Sound Studios in Santa Ana, CA and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, the album will feature a mix of old and new songs. More on the album later.
“Cameron is just an amazing legend of a producer and engineer who’s done some of my favorite records of all time. As an engineer myself he is one of my idols so it has been such an honor to work with him.” Hayden Hanson continues, “This album is my favorite thing we’ve released as a band. Some tracks on this record are actually a few of the first songs I wrote for Tunnel Vision that never actually made it to recording before. I’ve been so excited to see those songs really get fleshed out into fruition. The production on the album feels amazing, it’s got so much life to it because Cameron’s really awesome with not only finding good tones but getting us to capture it.”
Rock at Night says:
“This is a super feel-good beachy song with lots of emphasis on the horns and the keys. A blend of pop, reggae and a bit of ska, it is a perfect recipe for a good time! The tune makes one think of a never-ending landscape of sun, sand and sea along with huge margaritas! Just loved it–never have been to Baja and now I want to go! Check out the single and watch our site for the review of the upcoming album!“
