First Women’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp held in Los Angeles

The very first Women’s only Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp was held, May 6 – May 9 2022 in Los Angeles, CA. The camp was formed to give women the opportunity to, not only meet rock stars such as Melissa Etheridge, Orianthi and Nancy Wilson from Heart, but get the opportunity to experience shows at The Whisky A Go Go and The Viper Room, as well as attend master classes with pros and the chance to jam and record.

I attended the Q&A with Nancy Wilson on Saturday morning. She is the ultimate cool, rock chick, never having any other job but playing music. She is absolutely rock royalty and has paved the way for so many other women to find their place in the music industry.

I can understand why the camp wanted Nancy there. She is a true rock star and positive role model for women, proving this by graciously answering questions and providing positive reinforcement that anything is possible if you just don’t ever give up.

There were ladies there from all over the country including Hawaii and North Dakota, all wanting to fulfill their rock n’ roll dreams. I was there to meet other rock chicks and music industry pros. My experience didn’t disappoint! It was a wonderful opportunity to do all of that and more. I met some up-and-coming artists and ran into a few people I already knew from my 25 + year career in the music industry. I certainly appreciate being able to attend part of the camp and certainly hope to do so again.
