GRUNGE IS NOT DEAD
Lurid Purple Flowers is a 3- piece band from Boston Massachusetts. Taking musical cues from nostalgic 90s grunge vibes and adding powerful, yet soulful female-fronted vocals, electrifying riffs, thunderous bass, and shattering drums. No Sympathy is proof that grunge is not dead, but The Lurid Purple Flowers are making it their own.
It’s cool to see more female-fronted rock bands now a days, whereas before I feel as if dudes ruled the scene, and a lot of women didn’t get the recognition they should of.
Occasionally, songs blast off with a more progressive rock punch, but always bringing it back to that familiar grungy sound. This EP is a straight ripper.
There has been a lot of astonishing releases in 2022, “No Sympathy” being the grunge comeback we’ve all been waiting for…
