ROCK AT NIGHT EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE – JUST TOMMY’s Video for the single “Driving Me Crazy- September 29, 2022
One-man-wonder Just Tommy just released a lyric video today for his latest earworm-worthy tune–“Driving Me Crazy”. Departing from his usual “dance music”, Tommy is writing about a relationship gone sour. He sings:
We’ve been doing this for so long/every fight the same old song
As the story unfolds, the protagonist bails out of the situation. Then, the catchy chorus has you humming: I’m on a plane, flyin’ away, cause you were driving me crazy. How many times have you found yourself in a situation like this? Yep. It could be a romantic or familial relationship.
The song is a moderate pop-rock in tempo, still dance worthy, but with lyrics that makes one think. The video takes you on a spectacular visual odyssey as visions of space, moon walking, and AI fill the screen juxtaposed with cheesy ads. Tommy appears to be poking fun at society’s lack of depth, attention, and affinity toward distraction. Further into the video, you will be amazed by its brilliant animation–especially the dancing guy on the beach.
Overall, the song and the video will wake up your senses–at least I hope so.
