Strike while the iron is hot. And when you’re new band Classless Act following the ’80s blueprint for hard rock stardom, that means running back into the studio for a quick EP on the heels of your full-length debut that’s making some noise.
That noise was some high profile opportunities in 2022 for the band and specifically lead singer Derek Day. At the recommendation of Justin Hawkins of The Darkness, Day found himself onstage with the Foo Fighters and Motley Crue for the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert in L.A. It makes sense Hawkins would feel a kinship with Classless Act and Day since The Darkness started down this same road some 20 years ago.VIDEO
The band, featuring Derek Day (vocals), Dane Pieper (guitar), Griffin Tucker (guitar), Franco Gravante (bass), and Chuck McKissock (drums), first formed in 2018 when the five former strangers met through friends via social media.
