Review: The Cynz single “Tell That Girl to Shut Up” – Out now on Jem Records
If Little Steven’s Underground Garage is your jam, The Cynz are definitely in your wheelhouse. A New York band riding that electric wire of ’70s glam and punk based on sharp guitars and distinct melodic hooks, but with a powerhouse frontwoman. The band is into its 13th year led by primary songwriters Cyndi Dawson on vocals and Henry Seiz on guitar. New song “Tell That Girl to Shut Up” mixes Stooges energy with a vocal that is somehow tough as nails but also sweet as bubblegum.
