Review: Now After Nothing’s debut single “Sick Fix”-Release date January 27, 2023

“Sick Fix” by Now After Nothing is a haunting and atmospheric dark wave track that transports listeners into another realm. The song opens with a brooding melody that sets a melancholy and introspective tone, with a subtle drum rhythm adding momentum and texture. The vocals, delivered with a powerful and melancholic tone, complement the music perfectly, adding to the overall sense of angst. The lyrics are introspective, examining themes of hypocrisy and longing for change. The chorus shouts, “I will never change your mind”, which transcends listeners into the writer’s headspace.

The track paints a battle with relationships- people and the media. The track explains how it is valid for everything to think for themselves. Nobody can make you “change your mind” or ways. There is nothing light about this track. The production added a rich, layered sound that creates a sense of depth. The track is layered with a post-punk take on darkwave. There is a soundscape that is both musically impressive and emotionally resonant. Now After Nothing is becoming a brand; this will become something beyond.

Now After Nothing is a new band that is going to make headlines soon. Their first track, itself, makes listeners headbang and also question reality. Be on the lookout for new music!
