Rock At Night has been following blues artist Joanne Shaw Taylor for a number of years. We have covered her shows at blues festivals and in cities in the US, UK, and EU. We spoke to her in her adopted town of Detroit via Zoom. I

In this interview, Joanne Shaw Taylor discusses the upcoming Keeping the Blues Alive Cruise (“What’s it like being on a blues cruise?’), writing her recent album Nobody’s Fool (we learned tidbits about each song), being a “Michigander” and a “Detroiter” (she’s lived in the area since 2009), and performing in hometown Birmingham, UK in December (we were there!).
