Live Review: Brit Floyd-50 Years of The Dark Side-The Veterans Memorial Auditorium-Providence, Rhode Island-Sunday April 16, 2023
Celebrating 50 years of the Dark Side of the Moon, The World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Experience, Brit Floyd, brought their “50 Years of Dark Side Tour”, to a sold out Veterans Memorial Auditorium. The huge North American 100 show tour kicked off earlier this month to rave reviews.
Performing the music of Pink Floyd to perfection, Brit Floyd blew the lid off of The Vets with a new setlist that included seldom heard songs, “Not Now John”, “See Emily Play”, and “Yet Another Movie”.
The band includes Damian Darlington (Guitarist, Vocalist and Musical Director), Ian Cattell (Vocals, Bass), Edo Scordo (Guitars, Vocals), Matt Riddle (Keyboards, Synths, Hammond, Vocals), Arran Ahmun (Drums, Percussions), Ryan Saranich (Saxophone, Percussions, Guitars, Bass, Keyboards), Randy Cooke (Drums and Percussion), Eva Avila (Lead and Backing Vocals), Genevieve Little (Backing Vocals), and Chess Galea (Backing Vocals).
Coupled with a new laser light show, new graphics and disco ball to create a fully immersive experience, Brit Floyd flawlessly captured the essence and energy of The Dark Side Of The Moon in a way that was both nostalgic and exciting.
Iconic hits, “Brain Damage”, “Eclipse”, and “Us and Them” show why DSOTM still holds up 50 years later.
While, “High Hopes”, “Comfortably Numb”, and “Run Like Hell” had the audience on their feet and singing every word.
Before this leg of the tour started, there was some confusion on social media about who would be performing. This came about due to some changes with management, but have no fear, this is the band we all know and have loved for years.
As always, Brit Floyd doesn’t disappoint, so buy those tickets, they are literally playing everywhere. This is one show you don’t want to miss!
