Review: Lost Hearts’ video/single “Hate Yourself” – Release date March 31, 2023
Can the looks of the band and the style of their video be a giveaway of the music the play?
Well, with Nashville’s Lost Hearts, it certainly can! It is that late seventies, early seventies look that indicates the melodic, hard-edged rock with dominating guitars and harmony vocals that abound on their latest single “Hate Yourself.”
So, should these guys hate themselves for this, possibly ‘retro’ sound? Certainly not, because when you go retro, you should align your sound to a tee, and update it, at least a bit for the modern times, and that is exactly what Max Frye and the guys do here.
