Review: LokkisKott – “Deep Inside” -Release date, March 31, 2023
LokkisKott is not exactly a household name at the moment, as ‘Deep Inside’ is only the first single by this Australian singer songwriter.
Yet describing him simply just as a singer songwriter will not truly explain what LokkisKott is presenting here. Sure, there is an acoustic guitar theme going throughout this almost six-minute song, but the man from Goulburn, New South Wales combines the gentle guitar background with some emo, angst-driven vocals that even could at moments fit with some edgy heavy metal.
The latter might not be too much of a surprise, since his first musical loves are set firmly with the likes of AC/DC, followed later by Slipknot and Linkin Park and the song itself was written when LokkisKott was in his teens.
‘Deep Inside’ is an intriguing debut that can take LokkisKott in practically any direction he pleases.
